On February 13, 1893, 62 people met in the Enterprise town hall and founded the congregation that became Enterprise Christian Church. Members cut and hauled the logs for a first sanctuary, finished on October 30, 1898; the first full-time minister came in 1902, a parsonage followed in 1911, and in 1922 the church baptized 79 people in Wallowa Lake. A basement and kitchen came by the 1950s, an expansion in 1956, a Sunday school wing from 1972, a foyer in 1981 and an education wing in the 1990s.

The church calls itself “an independent, Bible-believing church” and “a self-governing congregation” of the Christian Churches and Churches of Christ of the Restoration Movement, under the motto “Love God - Love Others - Serve Both.” It meets Sundays at 9:30 a.m. at 85035 Joseph Highway, with Darin Frey as senior pastor since fall 2023 and Shaun Erickson as associate pastor since 2019. The year it moved to the Joseph Highway building is not given on its pages, and the state registration in its name, from 2000, is a filing date only.
