The Wallowa Valley Music Alliance describes Juniper Jam as a full day of all-original live music on two stages at the Wallowa County Fairgrounds in Enterprise on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, with children’s activities, art, and local food and drink. The festival began in 2009 and is the Alliance’s annual fundraiser. The 2020 and 2021 festivals were cancelled during the pandemic.
The 2026 festival was held on September 5, with gates at 11 a.m. and music until about 10 p.m. The festival’s week runs Thursday to Sunday at two Enterprise venues that are long-time sponsors and give the festival booking rights for those days: in 2026, Thursday shows at Terminal Gravity Brewing and the Range Rider, Friday sets on Terminal Gravity’s lawn, the Saturday after-party at the Range Rider, and Sunday music back at the brewery. The photographs here, by Boise photographer Brent Cheffings, follow that week from Thursday night to the last set on the main stage on Saturday.
Band names in the captions are the photographer’s own labels. The festival publishes its performer list for each year on its site.
