St. Pius X is the Catholic mission parish in the city of Wallowa, at 407 South Pine Street, with Sunday Mass at 8:00 a.m., the only Mass offered in the town. Its pastor, Fr. Thomas Varghese Chirayil, CMI, also serves St. Katherine of Siena in Enterprise, and one office in Enterprise serves the two parishes.

Before the first Enterprise church was built after 1892, the parish history recalls, “the Holy Mass was celebrated at homes on Alder Slope Road and also homes in Wallowa.” The founding or dedication date of the Wallowa church is not stated; the 2002 state registration of Saint Pius X Catholic Church of Wallowa, Inc. is a filing date. This record describes two parish communities as they describe themselves; it does not identify members or infer anyone’s affiliation.
